In medical microneedling, the finest needles create controlled micro-stimuli in the skin. The skin responds with its natural repair programme: collagen and elastin production. The result does not appear overnight – but it comes from your own skin.

Who is this treatment for?
For anyone who wants to improve their skin lastingly – without injecting foreign material. Usually three to six sessions about four weeks apart are advisable; regular maintenance at longer intervals is recommended afterwards. The plan is drawn up individually.
When is it not suitable?
With active inflammatory acne, active skin infections, a tendency to keloid scarring, and during pregnancy. Details are clarified beforehand.
How does the treatment work?
Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation – analysis, an honest assessment and full information. After cleansing, numbing cream is applied. The skin is then treated systematically with a medical needling device, followed by soothing care. Afterwards the skin is red – comparable to mild sunburn.
Possible side effects
Redness and a feeling of tightness for one to two days are normal and part of how the treatment works. Temporary dryness or fine flaking is possible. Consistent sun protection is essential afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
How many sessions do I need?
For structural improvements – for example with scars – three to six sessions are usually advisable. For freshness and radiance a single refresh can also be appropriate.
Can I go to work afterwards?
On the day of treatment the skin is noticeably red. Many patients plan the treatment before a day off or the weekend.
Is microneedling painful?
Thanks to numbing cream most patients find it easily tolerable – more of a tingling sensation than pain.
How does it differ from needling at a beauty salon?
As a physician I may work with greater needle depths and in combination with medical active ingredients or PRP – where structural change actually happens.
