Polynucleotides (Polyphil) in Graz

← Back to treatments

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments derived from salmon – online they often circulate as “salmon DNA” or the “salmon sperm treatment”. Medically these are highly purified polynucleotides that do not fill the skin but stimulate its own regeneration: improving moisture, elasticity and cell activity from within.

Treating the delicate eye area
The thin skin around the eyes requires particular care and a gentle formulation.

Who is this treatment for?

For anyone who wants to improve skin quality without changing volume or contour. Particularly suited to the thin skin around the eyes, where classic fillers are often not the right choice. Usually two to three sessions three to four weeks apart.

When is it not suitable?

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, with a known fish allergy, with active skin infections in the treatment area, and with certain autoimmune conditions.

How does the treatment work?

Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation – analysis, an honest assessment and full information. After cleansing and numbing cream the product is placed in small depots in the superficial layers of the skin using very fine needles. The treatment is short and well tolerated; small bumps at the injection points disappear within a few hours.

Possible side effects

Small areas of redness, bumps or occasional bruising at the injection points settle quickly. As polynucleotides are derived from fish, a known fish allergy must be clarified in advance.

Products used

I work with CE-certified polynucleotide preparations (Polyphil) – in a formulation for the face and a particularly gentle one for the eye area.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really “salmon DNA”?

In simple terms, yes: these are highly purified DNA fragments from salmon. They no longer carry genetic information but act as a building-block stimulus for cell regeneration. The preparations are medically processed and CE-certified.

How does it differ from skin boosters?

Skin boosters deliver hyaluronic acid as a moisture reservoir. Polynucleotides fill nothing; they encourage the cells to work more actively again. The two combine well.

Can it treat dark circles?

Polyphil eye improves the quality and density of the thin eyelid skin, which can make the area look fresher. Whether it is the right approach in your case is something I assess after analysing the eye area.

How soon will I see a result?

The effect builds biologically: first freshness after about two weeks, the clearest improvement after the second or third session.
