What is it and what is it for?
Skin boosters are lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid preparations that do not add volume but hydrate the skin from within and improve its quality: more elasticity, finer texture, a healthy glow. Suitable for the face, neck, décolleté and hands.
How does the treatment work?
The preparation is placed superficially in the skin in many small depots using fine needles. The treatment takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Numbing cream makes it well tolerable.
When will you see the result?
Not immediately – the effect builds over weeks. Skin boosters are carried out as a course: usually two sessions about four weeks apart, followed by a refresh roughly every six months.
What should you expect afterwards?
- Small bumps or papules at the injection sites – visible for one to two days; this is normal and part of the method
- Mild redness, occasionally small bruises
What to bear in mind
- For 24 hours: no make-up, no exercise, no sauna
- Timing: because of the visible bumps, do not schedule the treatment directly before important occasions – allow three to five days of buffer
Who is it not suitable for?
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, infections or active skin conditions in the treatment area.
Good to know
Skin boosters do not replace fillers – and the other way around. They improve the canvas, not the contours. A combination often makes sense; what suits you is something we clarify during the consultation.
