The short answer
Injectable aesthetic treatments – Botox, fillers, skin boosters, biostimulators, PRP, mesotherapy – are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Without exception.
Why exactly?
Not because a risk has been proven – but because it cannot be ruled out. For ethical reasons there are no studies in pregnant women, and without data medicine follows a simple principle: when in doubt, don't. No aesthetic goal justifies even a theoretical risk.
I have become pregnant – and had a treatment recently. What now?
There is no reason to worry. There is no evidence that a treatment carried out before the pregnancy was known harms the child. From now on the rule is simply: a pause until after breastfeeding.
What is possible in the meantime?
Good skincare, consistent sun protection, enough sleep and fluids – unspectacular, but effective. For specific skin problems during pregnancy, a dermatologist is the right address.
And afterwards?
Once you have stopped breastfeeding, there is in principle nothing standing in the way of any treatment. It is a good moment for a consultation – not least because skin and face can change through pregnancy and breastfeeding, and the treatment plan may deserve a fresh look.
