„Botox freezes your face.“
A frozen face is the result of overdosing – not of Botox itself. Correctly dosed and correctly placed, your facial expression remains fully intact. The difference lies in the training and experience of the treating physician.
„Once you start, you can never stop.“
Not true. If you stop, your face simply returns to its original state – no worse and no more lined than it would have been without treatment. There is no dependency.
„Fillers migrate around the face.“
Quality hyaluronic acid, injected correctly and in an appropriate amount, stays where it belongs. Problems arise above all from overfilling or improper technique.
„Hyaluronic acid and Botox are the same thing.“
No – they work in fundamentally different ways. Botox relaxes muscles and addresses lines caused by movement; hyaluronic acid adds volume and moisture and addresses volume loss and static folds. They often complement each other.
„You see the result immediately.“
It depends: with fillers yes, once the swelling has settled; with Botox only after three to fourteen days; with biostimulators and skin boosters after several weeks. Good planning is therefore part of every treatment.
„The cheaper, the better the deal.“
With injectable treatments you are paying for the product, for hygiene, for medical training and for complication management. Strikingly cheap offers usually save on one of these points.
„Aesthetic medicine is only for women over 50.“
Treatments are as individual as the people receiving them. Some start early with gentle prevention, others correct later. There is no right age – only a right, individual plan.
